the word "virgin" when referring to a first-time blog post? It would be true of this post, as I'm sure it's had to been true for every blogger in the past -- even before the word "blogger" was coined.
I'm going to start out slow and easy. That's certainly not the way life has been. It's hard to believe that 39'sh years have gone by. Really hard. Boy, it's gone by fast. I know, precisely, what it was like to be 15, 18, 27, 36. My children are, well, no longer children - even if I will always have that parental piece that will hold them in that regard and yet get pissed off when they aren't doing what they should be "at your age!"
I'm hoping to be able to use this spot as a place to let my hair down, put my thoughts out there, perhaps do some well-needed healing. That may be asking a bit too much. In the end, I hope to have fun, share some laughs, hand over a few tears along the way, and just have a place that it's OK to be ... me.
